The inaugural “Dancing With The Southern Stars” to benefit Magnolia House proved to be popular with the public and highly effective as a fundraising project.
The second annual “Dancing With The Southern Stars” to benefit the Magnolia House Shelter for Abused Persons is to be Aug. 15 at the Ware County Middle School auditorium. The teams of local “celebs” entered are already raising cash for the cause.
As part of their fundraising efforts Roger Johnson and Mary Beth Kennedy (Team 13) are selling $5 raffle tickets for a chance to win a basket filled with more than $650 worth of merchandise.
All proceeds from the event will go to Magnolia House.
The winner of the basket will receive the following items:
•Season membership for six from Waycross Area Community Theatre ($216 value)
•Stihl gas blower from Waycross Lawnmower Center ($150 value)
•Spartina Purse from Tea Time Gifts ($150 value)

Tickets may be purchased from Roger and Mary Beth and are also available at Yarbrough’s Office Products and Printing in downtown Waycross or at Tea Time Gifts on City Boulevard.
The drawing will be held June 30, and you do not have to be present to win.
