The Ware County Commission will hold four meetings Monday beginning with the work session at 2 p.m., a public hearing for an update on the Comprehensive Plan at 4 p.m., a public hearing for the planning department at 4:30 p.m. to address a request to rezone Screven Avenue from residential to neighborhood commercial and the regular meeting at 5 p.m.. all at the Ware County Commission Chambers on the second floor of the courthouse.
Items on the work session agenda include a liability renewal for the Ware County Airport, consideration of a contract with ThyssenKrupp Elevator Corp. for elevator service for the board of elections building now under renovation at 408 Tebeau St., a request to approve condemnation of Murphy Oil USA on Hatcher Point Road to make way for the widening project and consideration for the purchase of a ZetronMAX dispatch console for the 911 calling center from Monroe Communications.
At the present time, no items are listed on the regular meeting agenda but those considered in the work session are likely to be moved to the 5 p.m. meeting.
All meetings are open to the public.
