Two people were injured Friday in a collision of vehicles at the intersection of the South Georgia Parkway and Carswell Avenue Extension, said Ware County Sheriff Randy Royal.
Sara L. Conley, 89, of St. Marys, was taken by ambulance to the local ER for treatment of neck and other injuries, said Royal. Cory Louis Nipper, 37, of Douglas, had a cut on his hand and complained of neck pain, Royal said.
Driving a 2004 Buick, Conley was eastbound on Carswell when she drove into the path of a 1994 Nissan truck driven by Nipper, who was westbound on the parkway. Royal said the vehicles collided in the intersection though Nipper took evasive action to try and avoid a crash.
Sgt. Michael Merritt investigated the 4:22 p.m. accident.
