A class on bread making by hand will be offered Monday, Feb. 16, at 7 p.m. by the Homestead Guild at the Okefenokee Heritage Center, 1460 N. Augusta Ave.
The class, being taught by Arica Griner, will cover making bread from regular wheat berries and soaked wheat berries. Participants will get to have hands-on experience kneading and folding their own dough while learning the benefits of making their own bread at home.
Sampling a pre-made loaf of bread with fresh butter will also be included. Pre-registration and payment of $10 must be made by the deadline of Feb. 13. Class size is limited, so early registration is encouraged by emailing wayxgreen@gmail.com or calling (912) 285-4260.
