Dub Woodard (right), Woodard’s Automotive, presents Al Jacobson with five $100 bills, door prize money that will be shared by eight lucky blood donors at Monday’s important Red Cross blood drive. Jacobson is the president of the Waycross Area Blood Drive Volunteers, a group of citizens seeking to improve the volume of blood donations here. The Tebeau Street Automotive firm has made it possible to reward two donors with $100 each. Six others will take home $50 in cash. Monday’s blood drive is 9:30 a.m.-7:30 p.m. at the Waycross Exchange Club meeting hall at the Knight Avenue fairgrounds. The need for donated blood is urgent because of a perpetuating shortage in the emergency blood supply.
