Alma’s own variety show featuring Reed Burkett from Hollywood, Calif., will be at the Bacon Theater here Friday and Saturday, March 18 and 19, at 7 p.m.
“You don’t want to miss this fun-filled show, which has so many Alma folks in it that they will have to sit in the audience until their time comes to perform,” said a spokesman.
Showcased will be comedy skits, improvisation, dancers, musical acts. audience participation, fun for the whole family.
“One hundred percent of the proceeds from this show will go to support the SAFE and Potter’s House Ministries,” said Leah Miles, who is directing the show. “We want to give back to the community since they have been so supportive of our theater plays.”
For $6 a person, audience members will be able to enjoy a night of fun.
“The costumes alone will be worth the trip to the theater, but you also have the music to sing along with, and the possibility of seeing yourself or your neighbor up on the stage,” said Miles.
Another bonus is that Burkett is bringing his girlfriend, Ashley Samudio, with him. She is now performing the lead part of Maria in “Westside Story” in a major stage production in California. She will sing at the show with Alma’s own Alaina Alderman.
“Surprise after surprise is scheduled for this show,” said Miles. “Mark your calendar, bring your date and come prepared to have a great time.”
