Thomas D. Banks Sr., 84, died Thursday (Aug. 6, 2015) morning at his residence following an extended illness.

Virgil L. Hamilton Sr.
Virgil Lee Hamilton Sr., 68, died suddenly Tuesday (Aug. 4, 2015) at Mayo Clinic Health System in Waycross.
He was a native of Alma who lived most of his life in Ware County. He was son of the late Oras Hamilton and Martha Lucille Hersey Hamilton.
He was co-owner of Hamilton Electronics. He was a member of Pendleton Creek Community Church in Vidalia and the Okefenokee Alliance for Kids.
Survivors include his wife, Annie Lee Hamilton, of Waycross; two sons, Lee Hamilton Jr. (wife, Wendy) and Keith Hamilton, both of Bickley; a daughter, Lucrecia Raulerson (husband, Steven), of Blackshear; a step-son, Lee Martin III, of Portland, Ore.; six grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and two brothers.
A graveside service will be held 11 a.m. Friday at Moore Cemetery in Bickley.
The family will receive friends at Music Funeral Home tonight from 6 until 8.

The homegoing services for Christopher Emanuel Cohen Sr. will be held Saturday at 1 p.m. at House of God Church Keith Dominion, 500 E. Blackshear Ave., Waycross.
The body will lie in repose from 11 a.m. until the service hour.

Christopher Emanuel Cohen was born Dec. 25, 1946 in Waycross, the son of the late Elder Rhubel and Fostenia Cohen. He was educated in the public school system of Ware County. He was veteran of the United States of Army.
He entered into eternal rest surrounded by his family on Saturday (July 25, 2015) at Malcolm Randall VA Medical Center in Gainesville, Fla.
He leaves to cherish his memory, a loving and devoted wife, Tracey Cohen. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Rayonna Cohen.
Survivors include four children, Crystal Beckwith, Felicia Cohen, Christopher Cohen Jr. and Astaim Cohen, of Philadelphia, Pa.; one step-son, Damien Small, of New York; two god-children, Josiah Parks and Braylin Sanders, both of Waycross; one brother, Daniel Cohen (Bessie), of Waynesville; nine sisters, Frances Lewis, Vern Cohen, Mazie Williams (Frankie), Linda Thompson and Fostenia Cohen, all of Waycross, Lillian Simpson, of Nahunta, Lula Goodwill (Leon), of Brunswick, Viola Hamilton and Isabell Hill (Jake), all of Douglas; four sisters-in-law, Pauline Seabury, of Palm Beach, Fla., Henrietta Puden (Toney), of Long Island, N.Y., Valerie Seabury and Linda Seabury, both of Philadelphia, Pa.; six brothers-in-law, Alex Seabury, Christopher Seabury, of Philadelphia, Johnathan Seabury, of Long Island, N.Y., David Seabury, of Columbus, and Paul Seabury, of South Carolina; three aunts, Ruby Ashley, of Patterson, Ophelia Green, of Jacksonville, Fla., and Mary Gore, of Long Island, N.Y.; one uncle, Ransom Faszon, of New York; 11 grandchildren; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and sorrowing friends.
The family will receive friends at the funeral Friday from 5 until 7 p.m. and at the family residence outside of visitation hours.
The cortege will assemble at the family residence, 201 Bank St., at 12:15 p.m. Saturday.
