ALMA — Just before 9 p.m. Monday, a masked gunman entered The Easy convenience store of Alma and robbed the store clerk at gun point, said Deputy Police Chief Jerry Blash.
Another suspect or suspects remained in the vehicle as the robbery took place, said Blash. They arrived and left the scene in a late 1990s model black over grey GMC Jimmy SUV.
“The assailants fled the scene with an undisclosed amount of money,” said Blash. “The suspect who entered the store was wearing a dark colored hoodie sweatshirt, dark colored pants, dark colored shoes and a white cloth-like piece around his face. The gunman was armed with a small silver-grey handgun. No one was injured during the robbery.”
On Tuesday, Alma Police officers located the vehicle used in the robbery at a residence in Alma. After an ongoing investigation, officers identified one of the suspects involved in the robbery as Hagen Lee Pafford, said Blash.
“An arrest warrant has been issued for Hagen Lee Pafford,” said Blash. “Pafford should be considered armed and dangerous. Anyone who comes in contact with or sees Pafford should call 911 immediately. Anyone with any information in reference to this robbery should contact the Alma Police Department at (912) 632-8751.”
Anyone providing police with tips will remain anonymous, said Blash.
