Willie Jo Vaughn
Willie Jo Vaughn, 73, entered into eternal rest and joined her husband in God’s Kingdom after a faithful journey on Earth.
Affectionately known by her family and friends as “Jo,” she was born March 8, 1942 in Waycross, daughter of the late Edwin and Gertrude Bailey.
She worked as a school bus driver for many years with the Wayne County School System and was a very active member at Odum Church of God where she devoted herself to her true passion, keeping the nursery.
A former active member of Hickory Street Church of God and Parkway Church of God, she loved witnessing to others and telling them about her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. She loved her family with all her heart and her friends were truly blessed by her kind and gentle spirit.
In addition to her parents, her husband of 51 years, Ernest Eugene Vaughn, brother, Ed Bailey, sister, Sandy Bailey Belcher, and two step-children, Tammy D. Schuyler and Sharon Charlene Carter, preceded her in death.
Survivors include her daughters, Vikki Parks, of Coleman, Nitza Vaughn Hubbard (husband, Randy), of Cumming, and Ally Schell; one brother, Julian C. Bailey, of Kerrville, Texas; two grandchildren, James Sironen and Emily Hubbard; one great-grandchild, Addison Sironen; a host of step-grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and extended family members.
Visitation will be from 6 until 8 p.m. Thursday at Howard & Jones Funeral Home in Jesup.
The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Friday at Howard & Jones Funeral Home with the Rev. Kevin Dawson officiating.
Interment will follow in Jesup City Cemetery.

James Early Shaw Sr., 87, died Monday evening (April 6, 2015) at St. Vincent’s Medical Center of Jacksonville, Fla., following a short illness.

Ronald L. Wilson
BLACKSHEAR — Ronald Lynn “Ronnie” Wilson, 50, of Blackshear, passed away Friday evening (April 3, 2015) at his residence following a courageous battle with cancer.
Born in Baltimore, Md., July 13, 1964, he lived in Pierce and Ware counties most of his life.
He was a welder with Champion Wood Mill for many years and loved to hunt and shoot pool.
He was a son of the late Robert Lee Wilson Jr. He was also preceded in death by a brother, Robert Alton Wilson.
Survivors include two sons and a daughter-in-law, Darin and Kailey Wilson, of Arizona, and Justin Wilson, of Blackshear; his mother and step-father, Betty Ard and Clifton Crews, of Waycross; his step-mother, Ella Willis Wilson, of Blackshear; a sister, Debbie Hinkel, of Waycross; a step-sister, Rose (Keith) Bell, of Waynesville; a brother, Tyler Crews, of Waycross; two step-brothers, Lenny Meyer, of Ft. Lauderdale, Fla., and Michael Meyer, of Raybon; two grandchildren, Grady Wilson and Chandler Wilson; a special niece, Samantha Smith, of Blackshear; two special great-nieces, Dalilah Smith and Ella Grace Smith, both of Blackshear; and several other nieces, nephews and other relatives.
The family will have a memorial service at a later time.
Memorialization will be by cremation.

A funeral for Robert D. Hooper Jr. was held Monday morning at Music Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Donnie Durrance and the Rev. Donnie Tuten officiating.
Burial followed in Jordan Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Kev Bennett, Tracy Bennett, Bert Davis, Zack Goble, Zane Goble, and John Jewel.
Honorary pallbearers were Steve Barnard, Wendell Barnard, Jonathan Bartes, Kevis Bennett, Treneth Bennett, Glenn Carter, Louie Lucas, Dennis Scott, Joey Smith, Richard Turner and Robin Turner.
Music Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
A funeral for Barbara Cantrell, 64, of Patterson, took place Monday afternoon at 2 o’clock in the chapel of Hart Funeral Home with the Rev. Roger Naylor officiating.
Burial followed in the Laura Chapel Cemetery.
