Edward Wayne Hester
BAXLEY — Edward Wayne Hester, 65, died Tuesday (April 26, 2016) in Baxley following and extended illness.
A resident of Brunswick, he was born in Fernandina, Fla. Jan. 16, 1951. He was a brick mason and earned a degree in business.
He served his country during the Vietnam War.
He was preceded in death by a daughter, Brandy Michelle Hester Miller, 24, who died in 2001, his mother, Holly Mae Tatum Morgan, his father, Shafter Hester, and a sister, Christine Yvonne Hester.
He is survived by a daughter, Angela Renee Young, of Jacksonville, Fla., and her daughter, Brittany Paige Young; a granddaughter, Jerica Nicole Miller; his loving caretaker, Kathy Mock; and his former wife, Mary Hester.
He will be missed by all who loved him.
Arrangements are incomplete and will be announced later.

A memorial service for Shirley Gordon Wright was held Thursday morning at Miles-Odum Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. R. Proctor Chambless officiating.
Miles-Odum Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
Wray J. Hunter
A funeral for Wray J. Hunter, 83, of Blackshear, took place Thursday afternoon at 4 o’clock at Mershon Baptist Church with the Rev. Mitch Hall and the Rev. Rozzie James officiating.
Burial followed in the Ramah Cemetery in Pierce County.
Hart Funeral Home of Blackshear was in charge of arrangements.
