Betty Lee Anderson
Betty Lee Rowell Anderson, 85, of Brunswick, passed away Monday evening (April 13, 2015) at Southeast Georgia Health System under the care of Hospice of the Golden Isles.
Born in Hortense, she was the daughter of Hardie Rowell and Ernie Lee Roberson Rowell. She was also preceded in death by her husband, James Thomas Anderson, two brothers, J.L Rowell and Jerry Rowell, two sisters-in-law, Allie Mae Brauda and Nora Carver, and a brother-in-law, Estues Anderson.
She was a homemaker and a member of Pine Ridge Baptist Church in Brunswick. She loved camping, reading, bird watching and cooking.
Survivors include her son, Thomas Hardie Anderson, of Jacksonville, Fla.; a daughter and son-in-law, Denise Lee Causey (Bob), of Brunswick; one granddaughter, Jennifer Lee Key (Scott), of Griffin; three great-grandchildren, Lillee Grace, Baxter and Ben Key, all of Griffin; three brothers and sisters-in-law, James Rowell, of Lakeland, Fla., Donald Rowell (Helen), of Blackshear, and Bobby Rowell (Judy), of Brunswick; three sisters, Lois Joyce, of Brunswick, Jean Royster (Carswell), of Hortense, and Peggy Johns (Kenny), of Hickox; one brother-in-law, Homer Anderson (Margaret), of Hortense; and one sister-in-law, Betty Anderson, of Hortense; several nieces, nephews and other relatives.
The funeral will be held Thursday at 11 a.m. at Pine Ridge Baptist Church, in Brunswick, with the Rev. Michael Gibbs and the Rev. Ken Creekmore officiating.
Visitation will be held at the church, one hour prior to the service.
Burial will be held Thursday at 2 p.m. at Satilla Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be her nephews.
Honorary pallbearers will be the “Doers of the Word” and “Dorcas” Sunday School classes.

Family and pallbearers are asked to meet at the church by 10:30 a.m.

Stancil Eugene Boyd
A funeral for Stancil Eugene Boyd was held Tuesday morning at the Miles-Odum Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Rip Snow officiating.
Burial followed in Camp Branch Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Shine Beecher, Wayne Oliver, Kent Oliver, Russell Lupo, Jack Lee and Barry Deas.
Honorary pallbearers were Larry Barber, Bill Schafer, Ed Waldron, Colon Ammons, Winston Bruce, Al Hutto, Larry Davis and Willis Bennett.
Miles-Odum Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.
