ALMA — A man accused of the armed robbery of a convenience store here Monday night has been captured, said Deputy Police Chief Jerry Blash.
Hagen Lee Pafford, 18, of  Alma, surrendered to Bacon County deputies without incident just before midnight Wednesday on Colorado Road, said Blash.
He was taken to the Bacon County jail and booked, Blash said.
Minutes before 9 o’clock Monday night, a masked gunman later identified as Pafford entered The Easy convenience store in Alma and robbed the store clerk at gunpoint, said Blash.
Other suspect(s) remained in the getaway vehicle, a black-over-gray late 1990s model GMC Jimmy, while Pafford entered the store, getting away with an undisclosed amount of money.
An arrest warrant was issued for Pafford on Tuesday, said Blash.
He surrendered peacefully, Blash said.
The investigation is continuing and other arrests are possible, Blash said.
